Use and description
Trimecaine is an amide series local anesthetic with antiarrhythmic activity. Itwas shown to be capable of eliminating the flutter of atria in dogs simulatedby an electric stimulation of the myocardium and atrial fibrillation in catsinduced with aconitin and precludes ventricular fibrillation in rats arising dueto intoxication with calcium chloride.
